Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. The national brands lock you into 36-month contracts. Fortifi doesn’t. Monitoring is month-to-month, there’s no auto-renewal, and you can cancel whenever you want.
Who actually monitors the system?
A UL-listed central station, staffed 24/7/365. When an alarm trips, they confirm it and dispatch police or fire. You also get a real person at Fortifi to call, not an 800-number queue.
What happens if the power or internet goes out?
It keeps working. Every system has battery backup and a cellular connection, so your alarms still reach the monitoring station even when the power or internet goes down.
Who owns the camera footage?
You do, always. Video records to equipment at your property, and if you add cloud storage it’s your account. We never lock your footage behind a fee to get it back.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a day; larger or multi-unit properties take longer. Either way, you get an exact timeline at your free assessment before any work starts, with no open-ended schedules.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Fortifi holds Florida Electrical Contractor license EC13011692 and carries full insurance, and every installer is manufacturer-certified on the gear they put in.
