Can I install an Ajax security system myself?
Most of the system is built for DIY. Ajax hubs, sensors, keypads, sirens, and the wireless cameras are designed to mount and pair through the app with no tools beyond a screwdriver. The wired IP cameras are the exception — they need cabling and professional setup.
Which products need professional installation?
The wired IP cameras (bullet, turret, and dome) require running cable and configuration, so those are install-only — they show a “Pro install only” label. Everything else ships for self-install, and Michael confirms anything that needs a quick activation on your order.
